A vintage Beni M'guild rug handcrafted in the western region of the mid Atlas Mountains.
These rugs are handcrafted by the Berber women of Morocco and can take a few months to a year to complete. Each tribe has a particular style craft and the rugs are given the namesake of the tribe ie Boujaad, Beni M'guild, Beni Ourain.
Beni M'guild rugs are traditionally handknotted and known to be thick and lush, to protect from the cold. Often using colours like black, brown, aubergine, orange blue and red. These soft yet striking pieces are produced with soft wool using mostly natural food with dyes, henna and indigo.
Our rugs are one-of-a-kind, authentic vintage carpets directly sourced from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. They were handwoven by local artisans and make the most beautiful addition to a home or business. Each piece has a rich history and bring life and colour to any space.
Each rug is individually handcrafted and maybe slightly asymmetrical in their shape and pattern with some minor imperfections.
These vintage rugs can be between 20-60 years old and may have repairs as well as wear and tear appropriate to the age of the rug.
