Boujaad rugs are hand loomed in the middle of the Atlas mountains of Morocco by the Boujaad tribes. They often have patterns of small geometric shapes and stars. These soft yet striking pieces are produced with soft wool using mostly natural food with dyes, henna and indigo. Colours are often - pinks, red, purples and oranges.
These vintage rugs are between 20-60 years old and have been lovingly repaired, any holes seen in these images have since been mended and new images will follow. Other wear and tear is seen appropriate to the age of the rug.
A base of dark brown/ grey with bright pops of colour makes this a unique and striking peice. As seen in the second image has been lovingly restored and is now perfect.
